Danbury Motorist Crashes After Driving Wrong Way On I-84: Police

The 46-year-old driver and her 38-year-old passenger​ were travelling westbound in the eastbound lane of I-84 around 2:30 a.m.​

DANBURY, CT — State troopers cited a Danbury woman after they say she drove the wrong way on Interstate 84 and crashed into a cement barrier early Wednesday morning.

No one was hurt.

The 46-year-old driver and her 38-year-old passenger were travelling westbound in the eastbound lane around 2:30 a.m. in a 2008 Acura MDX near Exit 6, before colliding with the cement median.

The motorist was cited for wrong-way driving, failing to drive in the proper lane, and making an improper turn.
