Danbury PD Seeks Assistance In Search For Driver Who Killed Dog

Police say the driver of a "quad" all-terrain vehicle struck and killed the animal on Jackson Drive in Danbury.

DANBURY, CT — Police are looking for the public's assistance in their search for the driver who killed a family's pet dog on Wednesday night.

Police say the driver of a "quad" all-terrain vehicle struck and killed the animal on Jackson Dr. in Danbury at approximately 8 p.m. before fleeing the scene.

"Our investigation indicates that the operator of the quad likely lives in the general area, as residents of Jackson Dr. have indicated there are trails in the area connecting Jackson Dr., Tamanny Trail, and Great Plain Road, which are frequently used by ATVs and dirt bikes," said Detective Lt. Mark Williams.
