DANBURY, CT — A shelter-in-place order for Danbury schools was lifted at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, after town officials found no credible threat.

A message sent to parents early Thursday said that "multiple threats" were made to buildings and businesses across the city.

"We are placing all schools in shelter-in-place while we gather additional information about the nature of these threats," the alert to parents and staff said.

Stadley Rough, Hayestown and Great Plain Schools temporarily went into shelter in place on Wednesday, following similar threats. But after Danbury police officers began conducting sweeps of the schools, "it was quickly determined that the threat was not credible," according to a statement from the DPD.
