Danbury Youth Wrestling Club Places 2nd At New England Championship

A Danbury youth wrestling club, The Refinery, placed 2nd at the Youth New England Championship held in Massachusetts

Local Danbury, CT based Wrestling Club, The Refinery, RTC (Regional Training Center) placed 2nd at the Youth New England Championship held in Massachusetts. There were over 50 Wrestling clubs who qualified across New England’s 6 states.

The Refinery qualified 27 wrestlers for the championship. 48% (13 wrestlers) made it to the finals! 81% placed in the top 4.

The Refinery team was only 1 point away from the first place club, Doughboys based in Lowell, Massachusetts.

The Refinery, RTC focuses on wrestling technique, mental toughness, nutrition and physicality, The Refinery formula works magic and continue to focus on supporting Connecticut area public schools programs and coaches.

The Refinery RTC Wrestling Club is co-owned and coached by Danbury High School Alumni Wrestlers, Keith Lynch & Nick Weyer. In late 2021, Lynch and Weyer formed The Refinery Regional Training Center, (RTC), a USA Wrestling Chartered Club. The goal is to establish and continue strong bonds with the local and town programs to enhance their programs for youth and high school kids.
