Eyewear Retailer Warby Parker To Open In Danbury Fair Mall

DANBURY, CT — Eyewear retailer Warby Parker will be holding the grand opening for its newest location, at the Danbury Fair Mall, this Saturday, July 27.

The store, the retailer's sixth site in Connecticut, is located on the second level of the mall between Zales and Starbucks. In addition to selling eye gear, customers can also get their eyes examined by on-site optometrists.

The NYC-headquartered chain opened its first Connecticut store in 2018 in Greenwich. Further expansion into Norwalk, Farmington, New Haven and Darien followed. The company was founded in 2010 in Philadelphia.

Warby Parker's stated mission is to "offer designer eyewear at a revolutionary price while leading the way for socially conscious businesses." For every pair sold, a pair of glasses is distributed to someone in need, according to the company's website.

Opening day customers will receive a special tote bag with purchase, according to a company spokesperson.
