Free Bulk Waste Drop-Off On Saturday At 5 Danbury Locations

DANBURY, CT — City residents and property owners may freely dispose of unwanted items in bulk at five locations from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 4, "Clean City Danbury Day."

Proof of Danbury residency is required.

Scrap metal (e.g., grills, wheel barrels, anything made of metal), and white appliances containing Freon (e.g., refrigerators, air conditioners) must be kept separate from other bulk garbage.

The following will not be accepted:

  • Tires
  • Yard Debris – branches, leaves, twigs, grass
  • Hazardous Waste
  • Construction debris
  • Commercial Trucks (U-Hauls or rental vehicles can be used)
  • Electronics – Items must be brought to Oak Ridge Waste and Recycling, 307 White Street
