Immaculate’s Blue & White Gala Exceeds Expectations

Immaculate High School in Danbury celebrates with community leaders, alumni, parents and award honorees.

Immaculate’s Blue & White Gala was a huge success! Thanks to the more than 250 attendees who celebrated the school’s mission this past weekend, the fundraiser exceeded expectations. The dinner dance was held at the Amber Room Colonnade in Danbury on Saturday, March 16.

“We are grateful to the supportive network of community leaders, elected officials, alumni, board members, clergy, parents and students who continually support Immaculate High School,” said Wendy Neil, principal and acting president of the school. “All of the money raised helps us continue to provide a rigorous Catholic prep school education with a wide range of extracurricular activities for our students, while keeping a Catholic education affordable. Thanks in part to this support, Immaculate received an A+ grade from Niche this year!”

Citations were read from the Connecticut State Assembly honoring Bernard E. Reidy ‘89 of Sandy Hook, CT and Anthony F. Giobbi of Ridgefield, CT for their contributions to Immaculate High School, Catholic education and their communities. Reidy received the Nancy K. Dolan Leadership Award and Giobbi received the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Blue & White Gala featured dinner, dancing, silent and live auctions, as well as a $10,000 cash raffle drawing. Addessi Jewelers of Ridgefield also offered its “Hearts & Diamonds” giveaway which included a chance to win $2500 toward the design of a custom jewelry piece. And there was a special performance by Immaculate students from their upcoming The Little Mermaid show at Newtown’s Edmond Town Hall April 26 and 27.

“We have an extremely active alumni base,” said Jeannie Demko, director of alumni & events and an Immaculate alumna herself. “We are so grateful for the support they provide for current Mustangs.” Immaculate’s 2004 Baseball Team filled one table to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their state championship win.
