Musicals at Richter to Present Karaoke Night at Sherman Playhouse

Danbury, Conn. -- Musicals at Richter (MAR), celebrating 40 seasons this summer as the longest-running outdoor theater in Connecticut, warms up the winter with a special Playhouse Karaoke evening at Sherman Playhouse on Saturday, March 9. Co-presented by MAR with Summit Entertainment and hosted by Sherman Playhouse, the night is emceed by Summit’s Jim Fairchild and features raffle prizes and a snack and beverage concession.

Doors open at 7:30 PM with the karaoke entertainment running from 8 PM until 1 AM. The recommended admission is $10 but all donations are welcome. Proceeds benefit Musicals at Richter and its ongoing Renaissance of Richter stage rebuilding campaign.

Founded in 1985, Musicals at Richter is Connecticut’s longest-running outdoor theater. Performances are given on summer weekends at the Richter Arts Center (next to the Richter Park Golf Course), 100 Aunt Hack Road, in Danbury. Nestled in the hills of Western Connecticut, the Arts Center stage has served as the scenic backdrop for over 100 musicals produced by Musicals at Richter, as well as a professional springboard for hundreds of up-and-coming performers.
