Union Savings Bank announces that Richard Evanko has joined the bank as vice president, senior commercial loan officer.

In his role, Evanko is tasked with providing excellent service to USB’s commercial portfolio clients in addition to establishing new middle market commercial and industrial, and not-for-profit relationships throughout Fairfield and Litchfield Counties.

“We are very pleased that Rich has joined our commercial services team,” said Joseph Morrissey, senior vice president, head of commercial lending for Union Savings Bank. “He has extensive experience in commercial lending, cash management services and new client acquisition. Rich has developed strong relationships within the business community, particularly in lower Fairfield County, where USB’s presence and customer base are growing.”

Evanko has nearly 20 years of experience in financial services, primarily focusing on building Commercial Banking relationships across the middle market space. He has spent his career working at local, regional, and international banks, including HSBC Bank USA and JP Morgan Chase. Most recently he was a vice president, senior commercial lending officer for The First Bank of Greenwich. Prior to that he was a vice president, business banking manager for First County Bank in Stamford.

Evanko is actively involved in the community having volunteered on several boards and organizations over the years, and currently serves as the Chairman for the Stamford Urban Redevelopment Commission.

Rich resides in Stamford, Conn., with his wife and three children. Outside of the Bank he enjoys coaching youth sports, traveling with his family, playing golf, and making homemade wine.
