The Savings Bank of Danbury Foundation has awarded a total of $301,350.00 to 113 different non-profit agencies throughout Connecticut as part of an annual tradition first established in 2004. The 2023 grants total represents an increase of 8 percent over grants awarded in 2022.

In 2004, the Savings Bank of Danbury Foundation was established to support local non-profit agencies that reflect the core values of the Bank. The Foundation provides grants to support a wide range of initiatives and programs in the areas of Affordable Housing, Arts & Culture, Community Services & Economic Development, Education, and Health & Human Services. Since its establishment, the Foundation has awarded more than $3 million to organizations making a positive difference in our communities.

The Savings Bank of Danbury Foundation (SBD Foundation) is administered by a committee of Savings Bank of Danbury Corporators, Directors, and Bank Officers. They encourage non-profit organizations in their communities to apply for financial grants; in reviewing applicants, they are in awe of all that these organizations do to improve the quality of life in the communities they serve.
