State Police Canine Missing In Danbury

During the search for a missing man, police are still searching for a canine.

DANBURY, CT — State and city police are still searching for a state police canine lost in the search for a missing Danbury man Wednesday evening, State police said. Police said the man had ran into the woods at Wooster Mountain and was found by K9 Zeus.

Police said the search began at around 6 p.m., and the man was found shortly after.

During the search, a state police Bloodhound bolted from his handler that lost his footing on the side of a hill. K9 Texas is a Bloodhoud with a green tracking vest and a state police emblem on his collar.

Texas is not aggressive, state police said. Anyone with any information should contact Troop A at 203-267-2200.
