United States Army CID Special Agent Bechara George Madkour, 60, of Danbury, Passed Away

The Danbury resident graduated from dentistry school and began his career as a dental lab owner. He moved to the United States in 2003.

DANBURY, CT — Bechara George Madkour, 60, passed away in Kuwait on December 21, 2016. He was the loving husband of Mrs. Patricia (Antous) Madkour. Bechara was born in Lebanon on January 15, 1956; a son of the late George and Marie (Bader) Madkour. He graduated from dentistry school and began his career as a dental lab owner. He moved to the United States in 2003.

In 2005, he began working for the United States Army as a CID Special Agent and spent 8 years deployed between Kuwait and Iraq. During that time he received many awards and had a profound impact on the lives of many servicemen and women.

Bechara was known for his witty sense of humor and personable disposition. His family was his utmost priority, which he would sacrifice and do anything for. He loved hunting, fishing and working with his hands; drawing, sculpting and much more. He took many fishing and hunting trips around the world; trips he took with his family that he adored and lived for. He spent his free time building things around the house and helping others.

Bechara is survived by his wife of 32 years, Patricia and their three children; Mark, George and Julie. He is also survived by his brother, Antoine Madkour and his wife Maria and their family of Naples, FL; sister Carmen Balesh and her husband Mounir and their family of Ajaltoun, Lebanon and sister Randa Antous and her husband Frederick and their family of Danbury, CT.

The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 12 Noon at St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church; 17 Granville Avenue, Danbury with Fr. Naji Kiwan, officiating. Interment will be private and at the direction of the family.

Friends will be received at St. Anthony Church on Friday morning from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
