DANBURY, CT – A community event that will be held on Sunday aims to amplify the voices of leaders and speakers from the Black community.

The "Voices for Change" event will be held at 12:30 p.m. at the Danbury Green. Attendees are encouraged to bring a mask, lawn chair and blanket to sit on to listen to featured speakers. The event has been organized by Community for Change.

The event is designed as a space dedicated for Black people to speak their truth and tell their story on racism and police brutality through their own expressive style, according to the event details.

Anyone who is interested in sharing a story, poem, song or would like the opportunity to publicly express themselves can contact the organization ahead of time.
