Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Southern Connecticut

INTERIOR SECTIONS OF SOUTHERN CT — The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory which is in effect from 7 p.m. Monday until 7 a.m. Tuesday for interior sections of Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties.

"Mixed precipitation changing to light freezing rain. Ice accumulations of a light glaze," the weather service said. "...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute."

A 20 percent chance of snow after 2pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 35. Wind chill values between 25 and 35. North wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the afternoon.

Tonight
A chance of snow, freezing rain, and sleet before 2am, then a chance of freezing rain between 2am and 4am, then a chance of rain after 4am. Cloudy, with a low around 31. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Tuesday
A 20 percent chance of rain before 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 45. Calm wind becoming west 5 to 8 mph in the morning.
