Road Reopens In Darien Near Stamford, New Canaan Following Car Crash: PD

Police said a single-car rollover crash involving a utility pole occurred late Wednesday afternoon.

DARIEN, CT — A section of Hoyt Street (Route 106) in Darien near Stamford and New Canaan has reopened following a single-car rollover crash involving a utility pole, according to an update from the Darien Police Department.

The road was closed shortly after 4 p.m., between Woodway Road and Talmadge Hill Road late Wednesday afternoon. Police said in an update that Eversource has "stabilized the scene" and the road has reopened; delays should be expected.

Utility crews will be on scene for repair work throughout the evening, police said.
