Farmington Police Lose Cop/Schools Gain Security Chief

The local police department recently honored a beloved officer who retired after 25 years on the force.

FARMINGTON, CT — The police department's recent loss is now the local school system's gain.

The Farmington Police Department recently honored FPD Officer Sean Fritz, who retired earlier this month after 25 years on the force.

Of course, if the local community thought he was leaving Farmington, they were wrong.

Fritz is now the Farmington School District's director of school security and residency.

This means he will be dedicating his service, full-time, to ensuring Farmington schoolchildren and staffers are safe.

On Aug. 2, the department wished Fritz well and, even, included a cake to celebrate his retirement/new career move.

"We look forward to continuing to work with him in this capacity," wrote the FPD.
