FARMINGTON, CT — Traffic will be impacted Wednesday morning with two major road improvement projects ongoing at the same time.

The Town of Farmington has announced two separate scheduled road closures and traffic delays, set to begin Wednesday, Aug. 14.

Mountain Spring Road, between Route 4 and Talcott Notch Road will be closed to through traffic starting that day between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Town highway crews will be conducting road work and delays are expected and motorists are asked to avoid the area.

Farmington police said this project could take two weeks to complete.

Repair work is also scheduled at the corner of High Street and Route 4 from Wednesday, Aug. 14, through Friday, Aug. 17, between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.

This will require the closure of the right lane on Route 4 heading eastbound between the Bank of America Building (781 Farmington Ave.) and the Berkshire Bank building (763 Farmington Ave.)

Motorists should expect heavy traffic delays and seek alternate routes.
