1 Dead In Hartford Homicide; Police Investigating

Officers have classified the man's death as a homicide after responding to a 911 call of a person shot and finding him dead.

HARTFORD, CT — Police are investigating after a man was found dead in Hartford overnight Sunday.

Officers responded to a 911 call of a person shot in the area of 57 Babcock St. at around 3:17 a.m. Sunday.

There, police said, they found an adult male dead from "an apparent gunshot wound."

Police didn't specify the man's age or the exact location he was found, but officers said they opened a homicide investigation into his death.

The Major Crimes Division assumed the investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call the Hartford Police Department Tip Line at 860-722-TIPS (8477).
