'Hartford Bonanza' Celebration/Fireworks Postponed A Day

Saturday's iffy weather forecast has prompted event organizers to push back the Fourth of July weekend festival/fireworks to Sunday.

HARTFORD, CT โ€” Less-than-favorable weather conditions predicted for Saturday has prompted organizers of a major Fourth of July weekend celebration and fireworks event to postpone it a day.

"Hartford Bonanza," a major festival that takes place in Bushnell Park every year has been pushed back from Saturday, July 6, to Sunday, July 7, according to the Hartford Police Department.

The celebration โ€”which features musical performances, kids games, food and beverages, among other fun events โ€” will still take place from 4 to 10 p.m. on Sunday, police said.

The weather forecast is calling for regular rain/thunderstorms all day into the night on Saturday, with a better forecast being predicted for Sunday.
