Hartford Police Will Conduct OUI Checkpoint Thursday Night

From 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., officers will be stationed on a Hartford street to look for people driving under the influence.

HARTFORD, CT — Hartford police will conduct an Operating Under the Influence checkpoint in the area of 1200 Park St. on Thursday night.

From 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., officers with the department's traffic division will be stationed in that area to look for people driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police announced the checkpoint on Twitter. It's part of the department's ongoing OUI enforcement and is funded through a grant from the state Department of Transportation's OUI Enforcement Program.
