HARTFORD, CT — City police are investigating a deadly, hit-and-run accident that claimed the life of a Portland resident Sunday morning.

According to WFSB Channel 3, the accident happened at about 6:11 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Adelaide Street.

Police, WFSB reported, identified the 23-year-old woman as Portland resident Tonyque David.

WTNH Channel 8 reported David was driving a Jeep SUV that was struck by a fleeing Toyota minivan.

The accident remains under investigation.
