Americana Furniture Hosted Ribbon Cutting for Introduction of New In-Store Design Center

During their well-attended Nov. 7 "Americana Applefest and Veterans Day Celebration", the iconic store hosted the ceremony for the Center

An official ribbon cutting ceremony was held November 7th during Americana Furniture’s well-attended “Americana Applefest and Veteran’s Day Celebration” to introduce the iconic store’s new Design Center which offers expert services for their customers.

Assisting American Furniture President Jon Hendel (second from right) with the launch of the Design Center were (l to r) Americana Furniture’s design consultant Barbli Noel; warehouse manager, Vince Decesaris; design consultant Daniel Orr; Town of Waterford First Selectman Daniel M. Steward; Americana Furniture General Manager, Kathy Hansen; State Representative, Kathleen McCarty serving Waterford and Montville; and Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut President and CEO, Thomas A. “Tony” Sheridan. Senator Paul Formica of Niantic also participated in the “Celebration” activities earlier that day.

Winners of Americana Furniture’s Essay and Baked Apple Pie Contests were also announced during the “Celebration”. U.S. Marine Corps. Veteran, Michael Lally and his sons of Waterford, was introduced during the ceremonies as recipients of a complementary “Room Makeover” from Americana Furniture in honor of the nation’s Veteran’s Day.

The November 7th “Celebration” also featured free apple pie, apple cider, apple cider donuts, and popcorn, live music by Still Pickin’ country western and bluegrass band of Chaplin, a strolling magician, magic shows, ‘bob for apples’ contests, face-painting, raffle prizes and more. All “Celebration” guests also received a ten percent discounts on all in-store purchases.
