The New London County Sharks are a new semi-pro football team owned by Duane Pierson and his sister Deanna Pierson Bailey. The NLC SHARKS are sponsoring a fundraiser for Ackee Barber who sustained a fractured neck while playing football in September, 2015. Ackee attended Stonington and Ledyard high school and ultimately graduated from New London high school in 2013. Ackee has had to come to terms with the fsct that he will never play any contact sports again or risk being paralyzed. He is unable to work or continue with his college education due to the significant injury. Ackee is a great asset to the local communities and has begun to invest more time in the local youth, i., e coaching. Medical bills are expensive and sdding up quickly. Please consider supporting our local kid by purchasing a ticket $10. The fundraiser will be held on 27 December, 2015 from 2-6pm at Great Neck Country Club in Waterford, CT.
