Ledyard Weather: Taste of Winter and Spring This Weekend

Over the next week, we will experience wintry temps before it starts feeling like spring. Don’t forget the winter coat this weekend, because temps will plummet all the way back into the teens Friday.

Saturday will be cold too, but temps will rise into the 50s on Sunday and Monday. During the week, we may see rain on Wednesday and Thursday.

Here is the detailed forecast via the National Weather Service:

• Friday: Sunny with temps in the mid to upper 30s during the day. Winds will make it feel much colder. Gusts could exceed 20 mph and the wind chill factor will be near 20-30 degrees

• Friday night: Very cold with temps near 15 degrees for most of the state

• Saturday: Temps into the upper 30s and sunshine. It will feel cold because of the wind. It will feel like between 15-25 degrees

• Saturday night: Temps don’t drop much, as the low will be in the upper 20s to low 30s

• Sunday: Mostly sunny and temps in the low 50s

• Monday: Sunny and 55 degrees

• Tuesday: More sunshine, and temps near 50 degrees

• Wednesday and Thursday: Chance of rain both days
