Man Threatened To 'Shoot Up' Ledyard Woman's Home: Police

A man is facing charges that he threatened to shoot up a home where a woman and her child live, according to police.

LEDYARD, CT — A Norwich man is accused of threatening to "shoot up" a Ledyard woman's home, according to police.

Police received a call at 9:38 a.m. April 15 for a report of threatening with a gun at a Gales Ferry home.

The woman told police she had received a phone call from a man who said he was going to hurt the victim and her child. He said he would go to her home and "shoot it up."

The victim identified the man on the phone as her ex-boyfriend and the child's father.

Police applied for a warrant for the man's arrest but were unable to locate him at the time.

Norwich police made a motor vehicle stop Tuesday and identified the 31-year-old man.

He was taken into custody by Ledyard police and charged with first-degree threatening and disorderly conduct.

His bond was set at $50,000. He was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
