'Meet the Farmers' at Ledyard's Full Heart Farm
In celebration of spring and the newest members of the Full Heart Farm family, all are invited to "Meet the Farmers Morning."
What better way to celebrate spring than to celebrate at a farm? Full Heart Farm in Ledyard is hosting a Meet the Farmers event from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 2.
"We received a number of emails and calls from folks interested in visiting in February and early March shortly after Farmer Cora was born and then recovering from being sick, and we were sorry to have to postpone," Farmers Allyson and Keith wrote on the Full Heart Farm Facebook page. "But now that the weather is warming up, the seedlings are starting to sprout, and our first batch of chicks will be arriving next week. We are excited to meet you and show you the farm!"
Sign-ups for the farm's MemberShare program will take place and anyone who signs up on Saturday will receive a bonus share of farm-fresh meat and vegetables. The farm is located at 193 Iron St., Ledyard.
