Preserving Plum Island For Future Generations

Noank Historical Society presents a talk by Chris Cryder, Special Projects Coordinator for Save the Sound, who has a "virtual tour."

Noank Historical Society will present a talk by Chris Cryder, Special Projects Coordinator for Save the Sound, who will present a “virtual tour” of Plum Island using new images taken by photographer Robert Lorenz.

The island, home to the nation’s foreign animal disease center, as well as several endangered species and unique habitats, is soon to be sold to the highest bidder. However, many organizations would rather see the amazing island conserved.
