Woman, 23, Facing Manslaughter Charges After Ledyard Rollover Crash

LEDYARD, CT — A 23-year-old woman from New London was arrested Tuesday, months after she is accused of speeding away from a traffic stop in Ledyard before crashing and killing her backseat passenger, police said.

Amber Lahue, whose blood alcohol level was over twice the legal limit at the time of the Feb. 22 crash, turned herself in and was processed on charges of second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle, driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, reckless driving and improper passing, according to Ledyard police.

She posted a $150,000 court-set bond and is scheduled to appear in New London on May 21.
