MIDDLETOWN, CT – Middletown children had an extra reason to smile this week as they opened buckets full of art supplies donated by a local artists' collective.

On Saturday, Artists for World Peace distributed the "Buckets of Love," plastic beach buckets filled with sketch pads, construction paper, chalk, markers, glue and other craft supplies to children in Middletown.

The Artists for World Peace Council of Elders handed out the buckets to children in a drive-thru pick up station on Washington Street Saturday morning and continued until all the buckets had been given out.
