Local radio host Teresa Daly was recently honored with a President's Lifetime Achievement / Volunteer Service Award during a banquet organized by the Heart Bible Institute University in Hartford and held in the ballroom at the Marriott hotel adjacent to the Connecticut Convention Center in downtown Hartford.

Daly graduated from O.H. Platt High School and attended Middlesex Community College, majoring in Broadcast Communications. She joined the staff of WIHS 104.9 FM Christian radio in Middletown in 2006 and serves as the commercial-free, non-profit, listener-supported station's weekday morning drive-time co-host.

In 2003, the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation founded the President’s Volunteer Service Award to recognize the important role of volunteers in America’s strength and national identity. This award honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities in every corner of the nation and inspires those around them to take action.
