Dr. Guillaume Bassil is a cardiologist who specializes in managing heart disease and controlling cardiac risk factors through lifestyle modification and medical therapy. He specifically works on preventing and treating conditions like coronary and peripheral vascular atherosclerosis as well as heart failure and atrial fibrillation; also controlling risk factors like hypertension, hyperlipidemia and a sedentary lifestyle. While focusing on the diagnosis of cardiovascular disorders through multiple imaging modalities including echocardiography, nuclear imaging and vascular ultrasonography, Dr. Bassil also strives to provide holistic, and patient-centered care through this multi-angle approach.
Dr. Bassil completed his medical education at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon and subsequently moved to the US where he first completed a postdoctoral fellowship in molecular cardiology at Tufts University Medical Center in Boston. Dr. Bassil completed his clinical training at the New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical College completing his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiovascular Disease fellowship. He subsequently came to us at HeartCare to serve our local community and provide our patients with excellent and compassionate care.
