Flags Lowered To At Half Staff In Honor Of Former Mayor, Deputy Chief

Devoted to North Branford and a consummate servant of the community,​ former Mayor and Deputy Chief of Police Michael Doody died Sunday.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT —In accordance with the town's flag policy, North Branford Mayor Rose Angeloni has ordered that U.S. flags at all Town of North Branford municipal buildings, schools, and facilities be lowered to half-staff in honor of the passing of former Mayor and Deputy Chief of Police Michael Doody.

A beloved and devoted police officer and more, a consummate servant of the community, he passed away Sunday.

Individuals, businesses, and other private entities within North Branford are encouraged to do the same. Flags should be lowered at all stations effective sunrise, tomorrow, Aug. 15 until interment on Saturday, Aug. 24. Since no flag shall fly higher than the U.S. flag, all other flags including the state flag should also be lowered.
