Owner of Petri Electric Eugene J. Petilli, 88, Formerly of Oxford, Passed Away

A retired Electrical Contractor, Mr. Petilli, a former Oxford resident, was the CEO and owner of Petri Electric.

DANBURY, CT — Eugene J. Petilli, 88, of Danbury, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016. He was the loving husband of Adrienne (Negro) Petilli. Mr. Petilli was born on February 8, 1928 in the Bronx, NY; a son of the late Michael and Helen (Barnable) Petilli. Mr. Petilli served in the United States Army during World War II.

A retired Electrical Contractor, Mr. Petilli was the CEO and Owner of Petri Electric. Mr. Petilli was a resident of Danbury for the past 4 years since relocating from Oxford. He enjoyed trips to the casino, golf, fishing, boating and racehorses. He was also a great cook and was well-known for his Sunday dinners of macaroni and meatballs with gravy – not sauce.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Adrienne. Mr. Petilli is also survived by his children: Helen Petilli, Michael Petilli and Eugene Petilli and his wife, Kim, as well as his step-children: Patricia Dunn and her husband, Allan Tepper, John Dunn and his wife, Alix, and Trina Dunn-Pendergast and her husband, Thomas Pendergast.

In addition to his wife, children and step-children, Mr. Petilli is survived by 10 grandchildren: Alex, Mia, Christian, Ali, Kira, Jack, Katie, Julia, Kai and Zavia.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield; a prayer service will start at 7:00 PM. Interment will be private.
