'Born To Perform': Ridgefield Star Student

We all know students who excel in academic, fine arts or volunteer service. Here's one local resident who is having an impact in Ridgefield.

RIDGEFIELD, CT— Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

This submission comes from Corrie Vakil who nominated Audrey from Ridgefield, one of her best friends.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Audrey is the pure embodiment of a star student. She maintains extremely high grades and continues to push herself in all subject areas. I truly admire the way she maintains her intense course load.

Aside from academics, you can find Audrey in the school auditorium. She was born to perform, and she blows every audience member away with her performance skills.

When Audrey is not performing in the classroom or on stage, she can be found tutoring Ukrainian students, learning pilates, or taking voice lessons. Audrey's ability to focus on all parts of her life with equal attention makes her the high achieving student that she is.

Next year, Audrey will embark on her college journey at The George Washington University, studying economics. She is the most deserving and hard-working person I know, and I know that her future is so bright.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

This past year, Audrey has balanced her rehearsal time towards a winter show as well as spring musical. Most students chose to perform in one or the other, but Audrey's time management skills and clear theatrical talent have allowed her to star in both.

Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Audrey!
