Cat Power, also known as Chan Marshall, is a singularly gifted song interpreter whose catalog includes eleven studio albums, three of which are critically acclaimed cover albums (2000’s The Covers Record, 2008’s Jukebox, 2022’s Covers).The American singer-songwriter got her start in the 1970s touring with Liz Phair and Sonic Youth.
Last November in London, Power took the stage at Royal Albert Hall and delivered a song-for-song recreation of one of the most fabled and transformative live sets of all time. Held at the Manchester Free Trade Hall in May 1966—but long known as the “Royal Albert Hall Concert” due to a mislabeled bootleg—the original performance saw Bob Dylan switching from acoustic to electric midway through the show, drawing ire from an audience of folk purists and forever altering the course of rock-and-roll.

Cat Power Sings Dylan - The 1966 Royal Albert Hall Concert

The Ridgefield Library is pleased to host a new solo art show by painter Wendy Moore in the Lower Level Art Gallery beginning in September. More Than Meets the Eye will be on exhibit from September 10th - October 9th during regular Library hours. Stop by and meet Wendy and enjoy refreshments at an artist's reception from 2:00-4:00 PM on Saturday, September 14th.
Wendy Moore grew up in the San Francisco Bay area in a home filled with art and music. Her passion for drawing was nurtured as soon as she could hold a pencil and brush. She spent playtimes exploring the garden and surrounding Oakland hills, and every evening experienced the joy of watching the sky as the sun set over the Pacific behind Mt.Tamalpais across the bay. The glow of late afternoon is still her favorite time to paint. Her luminous paintings often focus on marshes, seascapes, cloudscapes, landscapes and still lifes.
“I paint what sparks a thrill of discovery within me– and I try to record on canvas the visceral response that made me want to paint this in the first place! The thrill, quiet rush, or joy itself– rather than an idea or emotional message. I find these encounters with more than meets the eye painting in the present, from life, the naturally lit landscape, still life or portrait."

 Gentle Flow Yoga with Erin Lutz ~ Evening For beginner/intermediate students looking to deepen their yoga practice. Explore the fundamentals of a flowing yoga practice (vinyasa) as well as traditional poses. Benefits include increased strength, mobility, flexibility along with improved circulation and stress reduction. Increase your awareness of body and breath and end with a deep relaxation (Savasana). Modifications are provided to allow all students to find their own combination of challenge and balance. Please bring a mat, blocks, blanket or towel and a water bottle. We are seeking a Level 1 IT Support Technician to join our team here in Stamford, CT. The successful candidate will be responsible for basic technical support, including hardware and software troubleshooting, data entry, and report generation. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for technology and a strong attention to detail, providing essential IT services to ensure the smooth operation of our organization's systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure all records are kept up to date and meet data integrity standards.</li><li dir="ltr">Report Generation: Create and maintain regular reports, including IT asset management, incident reports, programmatic data and performance metrics. Analyze data and provide insights to improve IT processes.</li></ul>

Supervision and Scope:
The Level 1 IT Technician is responsible for the day to day activities of the Information Technology department This includes working closely with the Program Directors for deliverables. The Level 1 IT Support is supervised by the Director of Information Technology.
 GENERAL STAFF RESPONSIBILITIES
<ol><li dir="ltr">Participate in meetings once a month or as necessary to review data. </li><li dir="ltr">Attend conferences, training sessions and workshops as assigned.</li><li dir="ltr">Maintain confidentiality in regards to staff and family information.</li><li dir="ltr">Complete annual mandated staff training.</li><li dir="ltr">Be present at work in order to provide consistency of services.</li><li dir="ltr">Be a contributing team member in a positive/productive manner.</li><li dir="ltr">Demonstrate commitment to mission, values, and policies in the performance of daily duties.</li><li dir="ltr">Perform any other work-related duties as requested.</li><li dir="ltr">All other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor</li></ol>

Educational Requirements:
<ul><li dir="ltr">High school diploma. Associate&rsquo;s degree preferred. </li><li dir="ltr">1-2 years general office experience required.</li><li dir="ltr">Basic computer literacy in email, word processing and internet navigation.</li><li dir="ltr">Must have excellent written and oral communication, organizational, interpersonal, and an ability to manage priorities, various deadlines and abstract and concrete variables. </li><li dir="ltr">High proficiency using Microsoft Office. </li></ul>
