Here we go again, kinda. It now looks like some accumulating snow will occur late Saturday into Sunday in Connecticut as a storm moves close enough to impact the area. But this will not be anything close to or resembling a blizzard or powerful Nor’easter.

Computer models have been all over the place with this storm with some predicting a coating to up to two inches and some say up to six inches of accumulation is possible. The National Weather Service on Friday morning issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the entire Connecticut coast from Greenwich to New London and for Hartford and Tolland counties.

For coastal areas of Connecticut the weather service states that a “developing low off the Mid Atlantic coast will likely bring an accumulating snowfall from late day Saturday into Sunday morning. There is a chance that snowfall along the coast could reach or exceed 6 inches, in particular across Long Island which will be situated closer to the offshore low.”

For Hartford and Tolland counties, the weather service states, “Several inches of snow is possible late Saturday into Sunday, with the greatest risk across Connecticut, Rhode Island and southeastMassachusetts including Cape Cod and the Islands.”

For inland areas of Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties don’t worry while you may not be under a Hazardous Weather Outlook, snow is still expected to accumulate there too, according to the weather service.
