This October, a fun creative writing program is coming to Ridgefield. In a town where some of the most iconic authors have lived and written books—Flannery O’Connor, Richard Scarry, and many of us have driven on the Maurice Sendak Highway—it makes sense that it’s the perfect place for kids to find their literary voice.

Join Brittney Richardson, the founder of Muse Squad, as she launches her junior class for ages 8- 11 at Ridgefield Parks & Recreation. Explore Wonderland with Alice, make new friends, and grow as a writer. The program is open to children of all levels and abilities of reading and writing. It’s a safe space for kids to express themselves. “Miss Brittney's” after-school class will be offered on Wednesdays, October 4 - December 13, from 4:45 - 6:15 PM.

Materials to bring to each class include a notebook and pen or laptop, and a snack. Every session come prepared to engage your imagination while dabbling in different styles of writing. The journey ends with a final reading and reception.

Follow the White Rabbit. Attend a mad tea-party. You don’t want to be late for this kind of date!
