The Ridgefield Historical Society is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to join our team. This part-time position offers 21 hours per week at $20 per hour. As an Executive Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting our organization's day-to-day operations, assisting with record keeping, membership, communications, event coordination, and engaging with visitors and volunteers. If you possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and an interest in preserving and promoting the history of Ridgefield, we invite you to apply. JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Executive Assistant

REPORTS TO: Executive Director

HOURS: Part-time, 21 hours per week, $20 per hour, Tue, Wed, and Thur 10am-5pm.

GENERAL FUNCTION: Responsible for providing administrative support for the efficient operation of the Ridgefield Historical Society.

LOCATION: Ridgefield Historical Society, 4 Sunset Lane, Ridgefield, CT 06877

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Solid computer skills including Little Green Light, Constant Contact, Microsoft Office, WordPress, Google Workspace, Canva, Eventbrite, Zoom
  • Experience in office management is preferred
  • Facility with technology, social media platforms and website management
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships as a team with people of all ages and backgrounds
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
  • Ability to multitask, take initiative and work without direct supervision

ATTRIBUTES:

  • An understanding, interest, and appreciation for history, historic preservation and museums is desirable
  • Detail-oriented and well organized
  • Personable, dependable, reliable
