Ridgefield's Weekend Weather Forecast

If you have outdoor activities planned, here's the latest details on what you can expect from the weather this weekend.

Connecticut’s weekend weather forecast began with some heavy rain this morning, which will likely taper off to occasional showers by noon today but it’s still not going to be a pleasant spring day. If you have outdoor activities planned this weekend, Saturday is definitely the best of the two days.

We will see the sun return Saturday, and Sunday will be mostly cloudy and there may be some rain too. If you like warm weather, we won’t see any this weekend, but NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan does have some good news for us. Hanrahan said April will end with the warmest temps of the season to date.

WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons wrote, “The forecast is soggy for the morning hours today! It will dry out a little bit for the afternoon but it stays cloudy and cool with highs only around 53. Clouds and sun with temps in the low 60s for tomorrow. We will have some rain close to our area on Sunday, right now I'm thinking it stays dry with high temperatures near 60.”

Hanrahan said, “The steady rain across the state this morning is heading offshore. Lots of clouds, chilly temperatures, and a few occasional showers expected later today.” (SIGN UP: Get Patch's Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts. Or, if you have an iPhone, download the free Patch app.)

And concerning the end of the month warm up, Hanrahan wrote, “We're still on track for another surge of unseasonable warmth for the last few days of April. I'm forecasting 80F for both Saturday and Sunday of NEXT weekend.”
