Severe Thunderstorm Watch Now in Effect for Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Monday's weather will be anything but pleasant and summery, as the National Weather Service issued two weather watches Monday. In the early morning Monday, the service declared a Flash Flood watch lasting from 12 p.m. Monday to 4 a.m. Tuesday. On Monday Morning, a Severe Thunderstorm Watch was declared from 11:15 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.
Luckily, conditions seem to be drying out Tuesday and Wednesday.

- Monday: A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Mostly cloudy, with a temperature falling to around 77 by 4pm. South wind 11 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
- Monday Night: Showers and thunderstorms before 1am, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 1am and 4am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4am. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain. Low around 66. Southwest wind 7 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
- Tuesday: Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 82. Southwest wind 6 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.
- Tuesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 61. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm after midnight.
