The back-to-work weather forecast actually contains a lot of good news as we warm up considerably from this weekend’s deep freeze and sub zero wind chill readings. But all eyes will be on the upcoming weekend forecast as Connecticut could be bracing for a snowstorm, according to two leading meteorologists.

NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan wrote, “The weather pattern gets really interesting later this week - especially over the weekend. Several computer models are showing the potential for snow. Exactly when and how much is still to be determined but the jet stream pattern definitely looks supportive of a snowstorm. Stay tuned!”

WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons wrote, “It's a cold start! Sunshine today with high temperatures in the 40s. Some 40s to near 50° tomorrow but also a few scattered rain showers. The warmest day will be Wednesday with highs in the 50s. We are also watching the risk for a couple of snow chances late this week and for the coming weekend!”

The National Weather Service has issued a “Hazardous Weather Outlook” for Hartford and Tolland counties for “spotty light freezing rain is possible early Tuesday morning, mainly between 3 and 9 am, and may result in slippery travel. If confidence increases, Advisories may be issued in later forecasts.”
