Southbury firefighters clipped a residential fire that began on a backyard deck before it could do more damage inside the home.

SOUTHBURY, CT — Firefighters clipped a residential fire that began on a backyard deck before it could do more damage inside the home.

The Southbury Fire Department wee notified of the "rapidly growing" fire Monday evening, and were able to put a "fast stop" on it, according to fire officials post on Facebook.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Southbury Fire Marshal's office.
