BaBaBoom ! Do we really need all the Explosions?

Let's consider the Pets, the Fire & Burn Safety

My "Around the House" Tip of the Day for Friday June 28, 2024:

Before you go out this week and buy fireworks for the "kids" or more likely for your selves to Celebrate the 4th of July... why not just think of another less noisy or safer way to face Independence Day. As I'm typing this in the distance on the 28th of June, someone is setting off rockets and m-80's, and my 15 year old golden doodle (who I love to pieces), is shaking with terror as he does every 4th of July & New Years Eve. Most animals go through a week of absolute freaking out due to the extraordinary explosions around our neighborhood. In addition, there will be countless complaints about how long those that get burnt, will have to wait to be seen in the immediate care centers and emergency rooms. Cars & roofs will get sparks on them, and my fire department will respond to several brush fires, and maybe even a structure fire because of this foolishness. Please pass it by, and go to a fire works display show to experience the celebration ,or watch on TV. Let the professionals do their thing for a half hour, and let's be done with unnecessary noise for the week before and after. Having to give sedatives to pets for this seems a bit extreme, but it has become a necessity each year. What a shame.

Stay safe this coming weekend from Stonehollow Home and Building Inspections & Environmental Testing.
