TRUMBULL, CT — The Trumbull Police Department is now hiring for an open school crossing guard position in both the morning and afternoon at Tashua Elementary School in the Stonehouse Road/Fox Post area.

According a job listing posted to the department's Facebook page, applicants must be available for regular school start and end times, as well as for late openings and early dismissals.

Pay is listed as $15.75 per hour, two hours per day, on school days only. Paid PTO is the only benefit offered.

All necessary equipment and on the job training will be supplied, according to police.

Candidates must submit fingerprints and pass a background check. It is also important that all applicants be able to commit to the position for at least the full 2024-2025 school year, according to police.
