Santa Claus Car Parade In Wallingford Postponed To Sunday

WALLINGFORD, CT — The "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" car parade event has been rescheduled for Sunday, Dec. 6 due to the projected weather forecast for Saturday, officials announced Wednesday.

The event, which is sponsored by the Wallingford Public Celebrations Committee, Wallingford Parks & Recreation, and Wallingford Center Inc., will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The parade, which is strictly a "stay-in-your car" event, will consist of an evening drive to view the town's holiday lights and seasonal scenes.

Santa will be in front of Town Hall to wave to children and to take their letters as your car passes by. Holiday bags filled with candy and novelties will be given to the first 800 children.
