West Hartford's Outdoor Pools To Be Temporarily Closed Thursday
They will only be closed for three hours and will reopen later in the day.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — Folks looking to cool off in the Town of West Hartford's outdoor pools Thursday will have to wait a bit.
The town Tuesday said they will be closed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15.
West Hartford has four outdoor, public pools at separate locations throughout town.

The West Hartford Department of Leisure Services didn't announce an official reason for the short-term closure, but it said they will reopen for public swimming from 1 to 6 p.m. that day and lap swimming from 6 to 7 p.m.
"Due to unforeseen circumstances, West Hartford outdoor pools will close briefly on Thursday," wrote the town. "We are sorry for any inconvenience."

This is the last week pools will be open to the public, with the last day of the season being Sunday, Aug. 18. They opened for 2024 on June 15.
