Windsor Locks, East Windsor School Calendars: Key Dates For 2024-25
A peek at the 2024-25 local public school calendars.
WINDSOR LOCKS-EAST WINDSOR, CT — Summer is almost over for students in the Windsor Locks and East Windsor public school systems, and the 2024-25 academic calendars have been posted.
The first day of school in East Windsor is scheduled for Aug. 27, and Aug. 29 for Windsor Locks students. Three days of professional development precede the start of classes.
The last day in East Windsor is slated for June 9, with high school graduation that evening. In Windsor Locks, classes are scheduled through June 13, with high school graduation set for that evening.

Here are some of the important 2024-25 school year dates to get on the calendar:
- Sept. 2: Labor Day
- Oct. 14: Columbus Day
- Nov. 5: Professional development (no school)
- Nov. 27-29: Thanksgiving recess
- Dec. 23-Jan. 1: Winter recess
- Jan. 17: Windsor Locks only - Professional development (no school)
- Jan. 20: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Jan. 29: East Windsor only - Professional development (no school)
- Feb. 11: Professional development (no school)
- Feb. 14-18: Winter recess/Presidents Day
- April 14-18: Spring break/Good Friday
- May 26: Memorial Day
