Medium Rare Eatery Offering Free Thanksgiving Meals To Seniors

The D.C. area restaurant wants to cheer up seniors home alone for the holidays with a free Thanksgiving dinner.

GEORGETOWN, D.C. — Local restaurant Medium Rare wants to brighten the holidays for DMV area seniors who will be alone on Thanksgiving. The restaurant will deliver a free Thanksgiving dinner to anyone age 70 and older who cannot celebrate with loved ones due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Medium Rare owner Mark Bucher began donating meals to those 70-years-old and older back in March during the start of the quarantine. He tweeted the request for anyone 70 and older, quarantined and in need of a meal to contact him during the start of the quarantine. For the free Thanksgiving meal giveaway, email the restaurant with the senior's name, address and cell phone at [email protected].
