Teen Shot To Death In Bradenton: Police

BRADENTON, FL — A teenager was found shot to death near Palma Sola Causeway early Saturday morning, according to a Bradenton Police Department news release.

An officer responded to a report of gunshots in the 8600 block of Manatee Avenue W. just after 1 a.m. When th4ey arrived, they found the victim, 16-year-old Martavious Carter, dead, police said.

Detectives believe Carter was picked up at a location in Manatee County earlier in the evening and driven to the secluded area of the causeway, where the shooting happened, the agency said.
