Newly Remodeled Clearwater Walmart Neighborhood Market Reopens

CLEARWATER, FL — From delivery to pick up to in-store shopping, the remodel of the Clearwater Walmart Neighborhood Market is intended to provide customers with a seamless, effortless, high-quality shopping experience.

Examples of the new store renovations include expanded online grocery pickup and grocery departments, and new self-checkout registers.

Walmart customers in Clearwater can see the improvements for themselves at he store at 1803 Highland Ave.

The Clearwater store is one of 117 Walmart celebrating a re-grand opening, an investment of more than half a billion dollars by Walmart is making in 30 states.

The store’s associates marked the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday and vendors such as Coke and Pepsi were on hand to provide samples for customers.

During the celebration, Walmart store manager Justin Farrell highlighted the Neighborhood Market’s transformed departments as well as the new interactive features now available to customers, including:

• New signage, fixtures, LED lighting and flooring throughout the entire store for better line of sight and easier navigation
• Refreshed interior, including paint and signage
• Polished concrete floors
• Refreshed bakery and deli areas including new signage and coolers
• Expanded online pickup and delivery area with more parking spaces
• Refreshed pharmacy with new immunization room
• Updated store organization which provides a better customer shopping experience
• Complete front-end transformation including more checkout options
• New fleet of shopping carts

“Our customers are excited with the changes in our store,” said Farrell. “The store just feels bigger with better lighting and signage that provides a more efficient shopping experience for our customers.”

To reinforce Walmart’s dedication to the communities it serves, the store manager presented over $3,700 in grants to local nonprofit organizations, including:

• Homeless Empowerment Program
• Humane Society of Pinellas
• Waste Limited
• Dunedin Children’s Christmas Fund
• La Clinica Guadalupana

The Clearwater Walmart transformation is a part of Walmart’s Signature Experience, which seeks to inspire customers and elevate their in-store experience. Upgrades at the Clearwater Walmart Neighborhood Market include:

• Activated corners: Displays are featured at the corners of certain departments to pull customers in and help them touch, feel and become a part of the space, allowing them to discover all that Walmart has to offer.
• Elevated departments: Transformed stores feature displays showcasing products that are out of their boxes so customers can imagine them fitting into their daily lives.
• More space to discover: Walmart has purposefully created more space for customers to explore and discover the breadth and depth of what their local store has to offer.

In addition, Clearwater Walmart customers can save time and money by shopping when, where, and how they want. The Clearwater store continues to offer the following innovations:

• Pickup – Walmart’s pickup option has become a favorite among busy shoppers. It provides the convenience of online shopping and allows them to quickly collect their groceries without stepping out of their vehicles. The best part is that Walmart grocery pickup is completely free of charge. Furthermore, customers using SNAP in most states have the option to avail themselves of the pickup service as well.
• Delivery - Walmart’s convenient delivery service is also a hit with customers. Even more, Walmart has now made both pickup and delivery contact free. Express delivery customers now have the option to have their deliveries made in under two hours.
• Walmart Pay – a touch-free way to pay

This membership program is designed to save customers time and money with free, unlimited deliveries, member prices for gas, use of the Scan and Go app, allowing the scanning and payment of products while shopping for quicker checkout and exclusive access to select deals before the general public.
